Cypress has a unique property of being the only commercial softwood that is harder than red oak. We offer two choices in Cypress: 1. Engineered prefinished boards 2. Individual unfinished blocks. Cypress grows in swampy areas from Delaware to Florida and in parts of Australia. Its color ranges from honey-gold to brown with very tight growth rings.

Larch is a European softwood which is part of the Fir family. Its color ranges from nearly white to a medium orange-brown. Larch blocks tend to have wider growth rings than Fir, but are similar in color and performance.

Teak is a hardwood native to South Asia. It is a large deciduous tree that is dominant in mixed hardwood forests. It is very resistant to decay. Teak’s high oil content and strong tensile strength makes it an extremely durable and stable end grain choice. Its color ranges from a pale yellow to a rich brown.
